Festival on the Niger: Ségou, Mali
The ancient kingdom of Segou hosts 3 days of music, art and dance from all over West Africa, set on the river Niger. The festival is unique in it’s emphasis on story-tellers, who energetically enact local legends with the help of musicians, actors and puppets.
